Barbara Anna Zielonka is a lifelong learner, edtech specialist, educator, writer, and speaker who has received many international awards for her work in education. She is dedicated to helping students develop the skills, resilience, and mindset to become active and responsible global citizens. She teaches English at Nannestad High School in Norway, where she uses project-based learning, connections-based learning, design thinking, and digital and AI tools to design learning experiences that are relevant and meaningful for her students. She is also the founder of Sustainable Lifestyle Challenge, a learning initiative which aims to empower students to take action for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by designing and implementing solutions for local and global issues.

In January 2023, Zielonka launched another initiative called “AI Advisory Boards” with the aim of actively involving students in discussions about the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. This initiative serves a dual purpose: first, to empower students by giving them a voice in shaping the use of AI in their educational experiences, and second, to demonstrate the transformative potential of AI technology in the field of education.
